Dr. Walter B. Kilby, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Earl J. Kilby of Sperryville, has recently reported for duty on the house staff of the Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Kilby, a graduate of the Rappahannock County High School and the University of Richmond, received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Virginia in June.
The Rappahannock Junior Woman’s Club will meet Tuesday, July 22 at the Trinity Church Parish Hall at 7:30 p.m. Trooper J.B. Willis will give a talk on “Self Defense.” Hostesses for the evening will be Mrs. Frances Foster and Mrs. Betty Coates.

A check for $1,000 was donated
by Mrs. W.R. Shaw of McLean to the Rappahannock Recreation Association at the Flea Market in Washington, Va., on the Fourth of July. Mrs. Shaw said she hoped the money would be used to help provide needed recreation facilities at the proposed Youth Center. “I was so impressed with the young people I saw working at the Flea Market Youth Booth,” she said, “that I wanted to help them all I could financially.” The donation was gratefully accepted by Granville Eastham, president and Fook Yuen, student treasurer, of the Rappahannock Recreation Association. ’
