4 cups water 1/2 tsp. salt 2 cups medium egg noodles 1/3 cup half and half 1/2 cup flaked coconut 1/2 cup chopped walnuts 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar ( 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 4 ounces cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup sour cream 2 Tbsps. powdered sugar 1 1-lb., 6-oz. can lemon pie filling. Bring water to a rapid boil in 2-‘ qt. saucepan. Add salt. Gradually add noodles, being sure water con- • tinues to boil. Cook until tender but * firm, stirring occasionally. Drain ’ thoroughly. Toss together cooked noodles, half and half, coconut, walnuts, egg, granulated sugar and cinanamon. Spoon into buttered 9-in. square baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool 10 minutes, then refrigerate for 20 minutes. In small bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream and powdered sugar. Spread over cooled noodle base. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Spread lemon pie filling over top of' cheese mixture. Refrigerate 30 minutes before serving. Makes 9 servings.

Tortellini is a favorite of pasta lovers everywhere. They are usually ring shaped and are stuffed with cheese, meat and/or vegetable mixture. Many gourmet stores carrjf*tortellini in vegetable pasta varieties , such as spinach and tomato. A fun £ and easy to fix dish using these flavorful noodles is Tortellini kebabs. Serve these on long skewers for dim ner, or short skewers for lunch and toothpicks as an appetizer. Tortellini kebabs Makes 4-6 servings as an entree or 12 servings as an appetizer. 1 large garlic clove, crushed 2 T. olive oil 1 3/4 cups (15-oz. can) tomate' sauce 2 T. rinsed capers 2 T. chopped fresh basil 1 tsp. Italian seasoning 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes 6 cups of the following: cooked; drained tortellini or large shell; cock-1 tail franks, cooked shrimp, mush1 rooms, green pepper chunks, cooked broccoli, cauliflower florets and onion pieces. Saute garlic in oil in medium saucepan. Stir in tomato sauce, capers, basil, Italian seasoning and pepper flakes. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; boil gently 5-10 minutes. Combine 6 cups of kebab ingredients in medium bowl. Pour marinade over all. Marinate ' 15 minutes or longer, if desired. Place on skewers. Broil 5 inches from heat until heated through. 1 Turn once during cooking, brushing with any remaining marinade. Pasta itself is not fattening.
