Spaghetti dinner Jan. 11
The annual seventh-grade spaghetti dinner has been rescheduled for 5 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11 at the Rappahannock County Elementary School. The RCES band and choir program will follow the dinner at 7:30 p.m. Prices are $6 for adult, all you can eat, $5 for single serving and $3 for children under 10. Murder Mystery at The School House
A murder mystery dinner show will be held at The School House Restaurant and Inn, Flint Hill, Friday, Jan. 19. All murder mysteries include a three-course meal for $49.95. Mystery starts promptly at 7 p.m., with a clue-gathering cocktail hour. Mystery ends around 10 p.m. For reservations, call The School House at 675-3030.
Monthly dancing planned
A series of 12 monthly evenings of contra, folk and square dancing is planned, to celebrate the new decade of the Nineties. An organizing meeting and the first montly dance is planned for 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 11 at Blackwater Homestead off U.S. 522 near Boston and Castleton. Welfare League to meet
The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League will meet, 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 2 at Washington Fire Hall. All members and interested persons are urged to attend. •
Blue Ridge concert
The Association Choir and Ministers and Deacons Union Choir will be in concert at Pilgrim Wilderness on Sunday, Dec. 31 following the conclusion of the ministers’ and deacons’ union meeting. The program will benefit the Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Center.

New Year's in Washington
A New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball will be held at the Washington Fire Hall, 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., Dec. 31. Music will be provided by the Crazy Eights, Rappahannock’s premier rock-and-roll band. Food and refreshments will be available. Admission is $7.
