Jan. 26-28. Participants will learn basic skills needed for beginning skiing and will spend Saturday, Jan. 27 on the slopes at Bryce. The registration fee of $68 includes lodging, meals, a beginning skiing lesson, ski equipment, and lift ticket. Registrations are due Jan. 19. Occupancy is limited to 104 adults and teens, so please sign up early!

Summer-in-the-Winter Festival - The annual 4-H Summer-in-theWinter Festival will be held Feb. 911 at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center. The weekend is open to youth ages 14-19. The theme is “Centennial Celebration” and is built around Virginia State University and the celebration of its 100th anniversary.

Weekend activities include a Friday-night Get-Acquainted Celebration which will help participants appreciate people of different backgrounds and culture. On Saturday everyone will have a chance to participate in several performing arts workshops. These will include gospel music, dance, drama, jazz, and visual arts. A dress-up dinner Saturday evening will feature special entertainment from Virginia State University.

Cost of the weekend is $40. Registrations will be accepted on a firstcome basis until Jan. 19.
