The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA), which oversees summer baseball programs in the county, reorganized Nov. 16, during a meeting at the high school. More than 30 people attended the initial meeting of the 1990 T-Ball, Little League and Babe Ruth baseball programs.
Ronald Dodson, RAA president in 1989, led the meeting. He called on league commissioners Julian Brown and Billy Dodson; and together they explained the need for restructing the organization. “We experienced tremendous growth last summer,” president Dodson said. “It’s in the best interest of the league and the children who participate that we pool our resources and truly become one organization.”
