E.L. Thompson

Mrs. Elizabeth Lyne Thompson, 91, wife of the late Cmdr. Lawrence Thompson, died Dec. 20 at Orange County Nursing Home.

She was bom Nov. 11, 1898, at Frascati, Somerset, Va.

She was the daughter of the late Mary Peachey Sizer Lyne and H. Oliver Lyne.

She was an alumna of Randolph Macon Institute, Danville, and Randolph Macon College, Lynchburg.

For a number of years she resided in Charleston, S.C., where she was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Charleston Garden Club.

Survivors include two brothers, W.H. Lyne of Culpeper and H. Oliver Lyne Jr. of Orange; and one sister, Nancy Lyne Coleman of Irvington.

Memorial services were Dec. 22 at Preddy Funeral Home, Orange, with private interment. The Rev. William W. Nickels officiated.
