rich Slaughter Jr. will visit Rappahannock County on Saturday, July 7 for a town meeting with his constituents. Mr. Slaughter will be at the county courthouse in Washington at 1:30 p.m. County residents are invited to come and speak with Mr. Slaughter about matters pending before the Congress, or issues involving the Federal government. Members of Mr. Slaughter's staff will also be available to speak with residents privately if they prefer. "One of my mostimportant responsibilities as your Congressman is to help you to cut through the red tape of bureaucracies that can be both overwhelming and intimidating," Congressman Slaughter said.

Topics of discussion will include the 1991 fiscal year plan for services to seniors, transportation, housing, affordable health care, in-home services and support for caregivers, income security and other issues affecting the elderly in rural, Virginia.
