Raymond Johnson of Woodville
has retired from the ; position of Rappahannock 7 County Forest Warden after 25 years association with the Forestry Service. His retirement .became effective yesterday. He was honored with a retirement dinner June 19 held at Brandy Station at which time he re. ceived a certificate which said, in -part, “unselfishly given time, energy and talent in his endeavor - to protect and improve forests in : Virginia.”
The members of the - Amissville Homemakers Club will have Miss Lucy Catherine Bowie of Culpeper as guest speaker for the meeting of this : group tonight, July 2. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and is held at Amissville Baptist Church. Miss Bowie will speak . on the art of quilting and will exhibit some of the intricate work which she has done.
