On Tuesday, June 19, the Yankees completed a near-perfect season with another impressive victory, this time over the Amissville Blazers 18-3 at Stuart Field.
The Yankees nearly iced the game in the top of the first, scoring 11 runs before allowing the home team to even gain the plate.
Nearly every Yankee got in the hit column for the day, led by Mark Jenkins with four hits. Teammates Jeff Atkins and Donald DorTell ran a close second, contributing three hits apiece.
Dorrell used his offensive powerto help his own effort on the mound, where he struck out 15 Blazer batters on his way to the victory.
