the supervisors had held a public hearing on tax relief for the elderly early last year, but few members of the public spoke at the hearing and the Supervisors didn’t report many phone calls from their constituents on the issue. Under state enabling legislation, most people would have too much property to qualify, he said.
“I’ve had inquiries,” Mr. Estes said.
