Dr. Tole’s mother, Elizabeth Tole, also volunteers weekly to help out inthe elementary school.
“I have been fortunate enough to’ have been associated with education' for a large portion of my life,” Dr.; Tole said. “This association has been in a variety of settings: local public; schools, an intermediate level university, and a world-renowned insti-l tution. I
“From these experiences,” Dr.; Tole continued, “I am convinced that the local school system plays an edur cational role which is vital and equal in importance, if somewhat different! from that of higher insitutions of.' learning. I believe my perspective; could be of value to our local system. I think public schools are very important, and I am interested in being part of what goes on in this school system in a more formal way.”
The Board of Supervisors will make Dr. Tole’s appointment official at its regular meeting on Monday, July 2.
