The Amissville Ruritans famous beef barbecue is set for Saturday, July 7, at the fire hall from 4 to 8 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.
Desserts may be donated, and dropped off at the firehall prior to, or during the dinner. This is the Ruritans major fundraising of the year. Help complete the community center by support the Ruritans. For more information call Jerry Curtis at 937-4633.
Charles “C.M.” Mitchell Green Jr. has arrived home for a month’s leave. He is stationed is Seoul, Korea for the past year, serving in the Army. His family is glad he is safely home. The plane in which he originally began his flight malfunctioned and he was delayed in California for 8 hours before getting another flight home.
