Compton Hitt of Rixeyville; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Luther R. Compton and Archie Leo Hitt; a daughter, Eunice Compton and a son, Elzie R. Compton.

Funeral services will be held on June 29 at Forest Grove Baptist Church in Viewtown at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Crane officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Alberta Foster

Mrs. Alberta L. Foster, 90, of Washington, D.C., formerly of Amissville, died June 15 at the Capital Hill Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Mrs. Foster is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mortra Rector of Front Royal; three grandchildren, Mrs. Gloria P. Bullock of Landover Hills, Md., Earl Prioleau Jr. and Michael Prioleau, both of Washington, D.C.; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held June 21 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Amissville with the Rev. Carter Alsberry officiating. Interment was in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by loynes Funeral Home, Inc. in Warre nton.
