Many of us become incapacitated by the trauma of living. We may feel that we are no longer in control of our daily lives. We cannot handle it alone. Desperately, we grope for a crutch.. . anything to give us the temporary strength to survive from one day to the next. . . even from one hour to the next. . Despondent and hopeless, some turn to alcohol or ' other drugs. Yet, we must understand that as a set of I crutches does not heal a wounded body, drugs do not heal I a wounded spirit. Our crutch will ultimately become our 1 burden. J
