The family called the game warden who advised killing the animal for testing; but not wanting “to kill someone’s pet because of a suspicion,” the family waited.
“Some people have really exotic pets,” Mrs. Baker said, adding she thought the skunk might be a pet which had strayed from home.
After a few hours, the family came inside and left the skunk outside. Mrs. Baker said her husband went outside sometime later to check on the skunk’s whereabouts and heard their goats “screaming.”
