The Middle Street Gallery Artists’ Cooperative is seeking entries for its “Sacred Cows” exhibition, scheduled for the gallery during September.
According to the invitation for entries issued by the cooperative, “all artists are welcome to submit work that challenges the status quo; for example, work that confronts social, political, economic, racial, sexual and/or religious norms or that questions our relationship to the environment.”
A sacred cow, according to the American Heritage Dictonary, is “a person, idea, or object sarcastically regarded as immune from reasonable criticism.”
