The appearance of gypsy moths in Rappahannock County has brought along people eager to take advantage of the panic atmosphere surrounding the outbreak, according to County Administrator John McCarthy.
He said he knows of several landowners have been approached by lumber dealers and firewood cutters who told them their trees will die from the gypsy moth onslaught.
