The Washington Town Council will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the courthouse. The following items are set for the council’s consideration, although a unanimous vote by the council will allow additional items to be placed on the agenda at the meeting.
Public hearings
• Cable television ordinance: to authorize the town to grant CATV franchises, regulate cable systems and service, impose fees and acquire, own and operate CATV systems
• Budget amendments: to the 1991 Water Works budget, required to show an increase in debt service from $18,000 to $24,960, due to an increase in loan funds committed to development of new water system
