Congressman be there; and we wondered what “extremely heavy schedule” meant.
Via a few telephone calls, wie learned that the U.S. Congress expects to be working late most evenings this week. They are trying to complete as much business as possible prior to their “August Recess”, which begins Aug. 6, next Monday.
Simply put, Congressman Slaughter can’t come to Flint Hill Thursday evening because he will be doing his job. We thought the voters should know that.
