when they dial 9-1-1, but would be immediately switched to the Culpeper dispatch office when the call is identified as coming from Culpeper County, according to C&P representative Dave Majors.
Mr. McCarthy said the new telephone system is scheduled to be installed in the jail later this month, and if an agreement can be reached with Culpeper County to route the calls through Rappahannock County’s dispatch office, callers in the “987” exchange could begin using 91-1 sometime this fall.

AIDS workshop

An AIDS Awareness Workshop will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Antioch Baptist Church in Madison County.
