Sycamore Hill House & Gardens has been operating as a bed and breakfast since January 1988, and is the first bed and breakfast in Rappahannock County, where there are about 14 inns and B&B’s, to be featured in Country Inns magazine. The Inn at Little Washington was on the cover of the magazine in 1989.

In addition to operating the bed and breakfast, Sycamore Hill has supplied fresh produce to local eating establishments, and last summer Mrs. Wagner was the “tomato lady,” making deliveries to Four and Twenty Blackbirds, The Bleu Rock Inn, Schoolhouse Restaurant, and Oliver’s in Front Royal.

Mr. Wagner is the designer of the new Rappahannock County seal.

Country Inns magazine features inns and bed and breakfasts, not only in the United States, but around the world as well.

Those interested in seeing the article may peruse the magazine at the library, which has been given several copies.
