The Rappahannock Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) tabled for a month considering a request for a variance from the Woodville Baptist Church.
At last Wednesday’s meeting the church requested a variance from rear setback requirements to put a 28-by-30-foot addition on to the back of the church. The addition would house additional kitchen space, a nursery and an office.
BZA members suggested to church members that they consider an L-shaped addition that would not require a variance. Some of the church members present said they felt that would add to the cost and interfere with parking.
