Henry Wood sent his experienced timber-topper to the lead at the drop of the tape.
“Topeador ran and jumped like he always does—very nicely,” said Mr. Wood. “He has only been with Dot [Smithwick, his trainer] for five weeks, so he is still not 100 percent fit.
