Marketing conference
A “Profitable Crafts Marketing Conference” will be held March 20 at Virginia State University in Petersburg. It is sponsored by the Vir- - ginia Cooperative Extension Service in cooperation with the Tennessee Valley Authority. This will be the first statewide conference to address the needs of artisans.
On March 19, preceding the conference, the first annual meeting of the Virginia Artisans Business Development Association (VABDA) will be held at VSU. Extension has played a significant role in the development cf VABDA, now 143 members strong. The purpose of the conference is to meet the business management needs of many artisans who need assistance in developing a profitable business venture.
