Good luck to Nathan Flinchum! He will be competing in the National Geography Bee at the state level. 'Hie state bee will be held on Friday • March 27 at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. If Nathan wins this level he will then advance to the National competition in Washington, D.C. in May. _*• • The following students: John Arnold, Adam Bouffard, Melissa Dodson, Jennings Hobson, and Laura Schadler, are the first group of seventh graders to participate in Odyssey of the Mind from Rappahannock. The group worked on creative problem solving using brainstorming techniques to solve a series of problems. The task the group chose to solve was a delayed reaction series. They had to complete eight tasks with each one finishing five seconds apart.
The group solved the problem and drew a blueprint of their solution.
Amy Wolf, their teacher, says she is very proud of them and they worked very hard to reach their solution.
