The county’s two schools joined together last week to put on a threedav science fair complete with dozens of exhibits, careful judges and throngs of visitors.

The exhibits were displayed in the multi-purpose room at the elementary school. Up on the stage high school students offered many demonstrations of physical concepts to curious students at the elementary school.

This is the fourth year the Rappahannock school system has offered a science fair for the students under the guidance of high school chemistry teacher Brion Patterson.

Jim Clark’s project on the logical decisions necessary to determine the shortest route for a traveling salesman was judged the best project in the senior division. He is in the ninth grade.
