Roy Clatterbuck

Roy William Clatterbuck, 78, of Front Royal died Feb. 16 at Warren Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal by Elder David Harrison. Burial was in Washington Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Clatterbuck was bom Jan. 3, 1915, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Albert C. and Lizzie Atkins Clatterbuck. He retired from Old Virginia Packing Company, Inc. after 19 years.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Whorton Clatterbuck; four sons, Jimmie Clatterbuck of Ogden, Utah, Russell Clatterbuck and Roy N. Clatterbuck Sr., both of Front Royal, and Charles Clatterbuck of Manassas Park; two brothers, James E. Wilson of Estacada, Ore., and Harvey Clatterbuck of Culpeper; two sisters, Anna Smelser of Bentonville and Mary Frances of Baltimore; 14 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.

Pallbearers were Clement Clatterbuck, Lester Clatterbuck, Don Cumor, Hansel Seekford, Jack Smelser and Noah Smelser.

Honorary pallbearers were Michael Clatterbuck, Ted Clatterbuck, Roy N. Clatterbuck Jr., Shane Clatterbuck, Adam Clatterbuck and Jimmie Clatterbuck.
