We’re very pleased that she can now help coordinate our region-wide programs as well as add arts appreciation to our growing collection of services for family day care providers and the children in their care.
The Soho Center’s past programs in New York City routinely integrated the arts with education and included music and visual arts programs for pre-schoolers and schoolage children. When Mrs. Beker moved the Soho Center to Virginia, she intially focussed on the most needed services which included basic child care training, safety, cash reimbursements for food, and nutrition education. “Now that these critical core programs are fairly well established and growing, we can expand our efforts to include the arts for many children in child care across our 10-county region.”
