Attention all preschoolers! Storyhour is continuing on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. at the Rappahannock Library. This is a great time for you and your parents to see friends and to enjoy the stories, crafts, and activites. The programs will continue every Tuesday through March. All library programs are free and open to the public.
Beekeepers meeting
The Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association will hold its spring meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 4, at the Jefferson Savings and Loan building, 701 South Main St., Culpeper. The program will feature the many aspects of spring management, very important to a successful honey crop. Come and meet the region’s new bee inspector and also browse through a selection of books of beekeepers. For further information contact J.C. Cone at 543-2141 or Ann Harman at 364-4660.
. Fashion show planned
A fashion show entitled, “An American Heritage” sponsored by the Rappahannock Woman’s Club will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 21. This year’s show will be at the Rappahannock High School.
Proceeds will benefit the Woman’s Club Scholarship Fund and the Rappahannock Elementary School playground. Tickets are $3.50 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. For information or tickets contact any member.
Storyhour to begin
Preschool storyhour will begin at 10:15 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Rappahannock County Library. All preschoolers and their parents are invited to come and enjoy the stories, crafts, and activites. The programs will continue every Tuesday through March.
Informational meeting
There will be an informational meeting for parents and students going on the seventh grade trip to Williamsburg from 7:30-9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25 in the elementary school gymnasium. Seventh grade teacher Arthur Neufeld will show slides of past trips, go over the rules for the trip and answer any questions.
Banquet scheduled
A banquet sponsored by the Rappahannock County Citizen League will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 27 at Rappahannock Elementary School. A $12 donation is requested.
