For the second month in a row the Planning Commission was faced with two applications for special use permits, and again it recommended to the Board of Zoning Appeals that one application be approved and one be denied.
Carol Quaintance had applied for a special use permit to have up to four horse trailers for sale on her 14; acre property on Route 628 near ; Flint Hill. Ms. Quaintance was not ■ present to speak on behalf of her application, but neighbors on either side were present to oppose it. * Elsie Dodson said she opposed having a commercial business in the • agriculture district. “It’s a nice neighborhood,” she said.
Freddi Kumli said, “The county spent money developing a Comprehensive Plan. If you keep giving special use permits every time someone applies, you don’t have to spend the money.”
