Edna Wayland

Mrs. Edna Hawkins Wayland died Monday, May 24 at her* residence.

She was born March 13, 1916 daughter of the late C.W. and Edna Jane Hawkins.

Survivors include her husband Clarence Ashby Wayland; two sons, James A. Wayland of Sperryville and Thomas E. Wayland of Washington; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26 at Clore Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 27 at Washington Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. John Burke officiating.

Pallbearers are C.E. Giles, Jonas Jenkins, Bill Racer, Newbill Miller, Lester Wayland, W.M. Hawkins Jr., Charles Butler and Clabert Smoot.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Rescue Squad.
