Baccalaureate service
There will be a Baccalaureate Service at the Rappahannock County High School at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 6. This is being sponsored by local churches and the RCHS Bible Club.
Helpers desperately needed
The Washington Volunteer Fire Department, RAAC, and RAWL are responsible for the parking situation on July 4th in Washington and the money collected is used to support the three groups. These organizations would like your assistance w ith this job. If you would be willing to help on the Fourth for 2-4 hours parking cars, please call Beverly Atkins at 675-3843 to schedule your shift.
A moveable feast
Diners can enjoy a pleasant afternoon of dining at a variety of different bed and breakfast inns in Rappahannock County.
Participants will be served a course at one inn, and them move to another to continue the meal.

Summer program for teenagers
Don’t let time pass you by! Remember that registration for Ki Theatre’s Summer Program for Teenagers is on a first come first served basis. Scholarships are available too! For three wreeks in July, teens can gain experience in theatre, voice, dance and stagecraft classes working with professionsl artists and perform in a major production. The program welcomes all those interested in learning more about the performing arts regardless of previous experience. For information about scholarships and registration call Ki Theatre at 6751616.

The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad will hold their annual carnival July 7-10.

Barn dance scheduled
There will be an old fashion barn dance at the Digges Barn in Amissville to benefit the Rappahannock Athletic Association from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on June 25. The band, Heavy Dreamer will be playing. There will also be a bon fire, food and set-ups. No one under 21 will be admitted. Tickets will be sold at the gate and will be $25 per couple or $15 singles.
