Wild Animals on
First Friday
Kids and parents! Come celebrate the start of summer on Friday, June 11 at the Rappahannock County Library. That evening, at 7:30 p.m., the Library’s First Friday series presents its final program of the season “Wild Animals of Rappahannock.” Speaker will be Tom Blount, Supervising Ecologist for the Division of Natural Resources and Science at Shenandoah National Park.
Mr. Blount will show a video on bear tagging, discuss the reintroduction of the peregrine falcon into the wild and will play a tape of “Night Sounds.” Other wild animals of this region will also be discussed. After the presentation Mr. Blount will answer questions. ,,, Though primarily aimed at children, parents and kids of all ages interested in learning more about our county’s wild critters will enjoy “Wild Animals of Rappahannock.”
