Rappahannock News Staff Writer

Following a lengthy executive session Tuesday night the Board of Supervisors approved a resolution to apply for $1.5 million in bonds issued by the Virginia Public School Authority for the addition to the elementary school.

School Superintendent David Gangel and bond counsel Carolyn Perry from Wharton, Aldhizer and Weaver of Harrisonburg were present for the executive session and the public vote which followed. Appraiser Walter A. Robinson Jr. was also present for the executive session but not the open session.

The amount for the bonds was 'higher than the $1,375 million the School Board approved in a resolution last week. Ms. Perry urged the board to approve the larger amount because, she said, the VPSA is used
