The Electric Cooperative of Virginia, Maryland and Deleware Association held it’s meeting the 49th annual in Williamsburg and Mr. Bill Alphin was elected treasurer of the Association’s Board of Directors. Mr. Alphin is a board member of Rappahannock Electric was also reelected to the Old Dominion Electric Cooperative Board. He has served on the Rappahannock Board which serves our area for 16 years.
Last Sunday, Rev. and Mrs. Sandy Young and sons Ryan and Gavin were guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. Gordon Willis, Jr.
Sympathy is extended to Mr. Franklin Hitt of Cypress Knole upon the loss of his grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Jenkins who passed away at a Berryville Nursing Home on Wednesday.
Mrs. Janet Peregoy and children, Joseph and Jennifer were Monday luncheon guests of her aunt, Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville.
Mrs. Hazel Hawkins is recuperating from eye surgery performed in Arlington last Wednesday and was accompanied there by Mrs. Eleanor Wharton and Mrs. Robin Huffman. Saturday guests of Mrs. Hawkins were Mrs. Carroll Petty and Mrs. C.D. Marshall of Front Royal.
Mrs. Catherine Woodard and her neighbor friend called on relatives in the area last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and family and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville were in fredericksburg Sunday afternoon visiting Mr. and Mrs. Holtzman Frazier and with them visited their son, Mike, a surgical patient in Mary Washington Hospital having lost a foot and portion of his leg.
