Arthur Russell
Arthur Wardell Russell, 45, of Winchester, died Thursday, Aug. 12 at Winchester Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Aug. 16 at the Flint Hill Macedonia Baptist Church by the Rev. James A. Price.
Burial was in the Russell Family Cemetery at Huntly.
Mr. Russell was born March 14, 1948 in Front Royal, the son of Abner T. Russell of Huntly and the late Lelia Jett Russell.
He was employed with the Price Club and was worshipful master of the Masonic St. Luke Lodge 312 of Front Royal.
He was a member of the Flint Hill Macedonia Baptist Church where he served on the usher board and the men’s choir.
He was a member of the Macedonia Gospel Chorus, the Monday Night Mixed Bowling League, the Cavalier Club and the Pride of Warren Elks Lodge 486 of Front Royal.
Surviving with his father are his wife, Ann E. Russell; one son, Arthur W. Russell Jr. of Manassas; one brother, Carroll S. Russell Sr. of Front Royal and four sisters, Mary L. Frye, Kesley Russell and Helena Russell, all of Huntly and Lillian G. Taylor of Front Royal.
Pallbearers were John Jackson, David Jones, Robert Neal, Willard Smith, James Brown, Robert Williams angpG&rland Brown.
Honorary pallbearers were Paul Brooks, George Banks, Lewis Butler, Thomas Jett, Eugene Cook, William. Roberts, Melvin Jordan, Charles Jordan and the Rev. Charles Jackson.
Richard Curry
Richard Floyd Curry, 75, of Flint Hill died Aug. 13 at Sunny Slope Home for Adults in Flint Hill.
Mr. Curry was bom in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 1, 1918 son of the late Richard F. Curry and Laura C. Mayfield.
Mr. Curry graduated from Tulsa Central High School and attended American University in Washington D. C.
Mr. Curry retired as an executive with the American Automobile Association in 1983. During his 12 1/2 years with AAA he was widely recognized for his pioneering work in researching and promoting the use of alternative liquid fuels.
Mr. Curry was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Mothershed Curry and is survived by a son, Keith D. Curry of Rock Milis.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 16 at Found & Sons Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. John Farrar officiating.
Interment were at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Edward Dodson
Edward J. Dodson, 72, of Culpeper died Wednesday, Aug. 4 at his residence.
He was bom on Aug. 8, 1921 in Nethers Mill, son of Ernest Lloyd Dodson and Ida Ellen Jenkins.
He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II as a rifleman. He received the World War II Victory Medal, Occupational ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theater Service Medal and The Philippine Liberation Medal. Mr. Dodson had lived in Culpeper since 1972 and was retired from The Rochester Corporation.
He attended Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle and was a member of the VFW Post .2524.
Mr. Dodson is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Connie Kibler of Aroda and twQ sons, Michael Dodson of Virginia Beach and Jeffrey Paul Dodson of Culpeper.
He is also survived by three sisters, Hazel Hamilton of Silver Spring, Md., Myrtle Monroe of Leesburg, and Merle Guiffre of Wheaton, Md. and seven grandchil| dren. I

death by his wife, Lorraine Nichol| son Dodson, a son, Timothy Wayne Dodson, three brothers, Clyde, Erser, and Archie Dodson and two sisters, Essie Burke and Emma Sisk.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 7 at Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle with the Rev. Charles Clinednist officiating.
Interment was in Etlan Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ashby Thornhill, Tom Thornhill, Junior Corbin, Junior Sisk, Travis Fincham, Jackie Haynes, Jesse Pierce, Jimmy Hamilton and Frank Baldwin.
Found & Sons Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
