Irene Buckley

Mrs. Irene Wood Buckley, 86, of Culpeper died Sunday, Aug. 15 at the Culpeper Health Care Center in Culpeper.

She was born Sept. 6, 1906 in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Thomas and Daisy Sealock Wood.

She was a member of the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church.

Mrs. Buckley was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Wesley Buckley and one son, C.H. Truslow.

Survivors include one son, Charles Anderson of Salisbury, Md.; four sisters, Mildred Many of Sperryville, Kitty Huff of Chantily, Rebecca Baker of Silver Springs, Md., and Rachael Piehler of Danville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Rooper officiating.

Pallbearers will be Richard Jones, Winfrey Barfield, John M. Clark, James Jessup and Gerald Frazier.
