Oktoberfest

The third annual Oktoberfest can to a close at Thistle Hill Bed and Breakfast Inn in Boston on Oct. 2. The final night of the celebration featured, in addition to German food and beverage, the musical renditions of Fay Price at the piano and the voice of the owner’s son, John Wilson.
John, a resident of North Adams, Mass, came to visit his father especially for the occasion. Ms. Price, a resident of Remmington played a selection of German folk songs; Mr. Wilson sang a variety of German ballads and “drinking songs.”
Charles and Marianne Wilson, owners of Thistle Hill were pleased with local response to the occasion and promise that next year will strive to provide an even better experience for their guests. A search for an “OmmPah Band” has already started.
The event is held annually the first weekend in October.
