The other Rappahannock teams were less successful. In the under-14 competition the Rappahannock team lost to a Warrenton team 0 to 5 and then tied a Madison team in later competition 3 to 3.
In U-12 competition Rappahannock 1 lost to a Culpeper team 0 to 3 and Rappahannock 2 had a similar experience with a Madison team.
In U-10 Rappahannock 1 lost to a Culpeper team 2 to 3, while Rappahannock 3 was losing to another Culpeper team 0 to 5.
In U-8 competition Rappahannock 1 lost to a Madison team 0 to 2.
Plans are moving ahead for the “Pay to Play” game for adults on Halloween. Adults will pay $5 each to play; the proceeds will benefit the Soccer League. The game will begin at 1 p.m.
Mr. Price said the regular season schedule ends November 4, “but then we will have in house games as long as the weather permits.”
The league is also scheduling a soccer banquet for December 4, he added.
