“There are 10 reasons to [fox] hunt,” said Oliver G. Brown, Huntsman with the Rappahannock Hunt, to the audience at the Friday at the Library series.
Brown quickly ran down the list of reasons: fellowship, love of horses, love of dogs, love of riding. He and stopped at number 7: To hunt.
“Some people hunt because they enjoy hunting,” he said laughingly, but that wasn’t his main reason to participate. He said that he “enjoys the horses more than the hounds.”
