From Page 2 receptionist. She was a pre-veterinary student at Virginia Tech, Robinson recalled, and showed interest in learning about medicine.
He encouraged her and, after taking a year off, Dr. King returned to school as a medical student. “I told her, you finish it up and I’ll give you a job,” Robinson said. “So she did, and I did.”
Dr. King, a Warrenton native, said that for a long time she thought she would never return to her hometown. But with family here, and after completing her medical residency in family practice in Lancaster, Pa., “He [Dr. Robinson] needed help, and I fit in very nicely.”
Dr. King said her partner tends to concentrate on the established patients, partly because he has seen many of them for years. That includes many elderly patients, as well as some men who are more comfortable with a male doctor.
