In the verbal sections of the test, there are still analogies and sentence completion questions, but the antonyms section has been eliminated. Instead the students have more questions that require critical reading. They had to read longer passages and answer questions on that reading.
The PSAT is also somewhat longer. This test is also used to select students for National Merit Scholarships, the guidance counsellors explained.
