As the focus of medicine increasingly returns to primary care physicians (known in the old days as general practitioners), the residents of southern Fauquier already have family doctors firmly established in their community.

Fauquier Medical Associates, the joint practice of Drs. Diane King and Ralph Robinson, continues the traditional role of the family doctor, though their office in the Bealeton Village Shopping Center has all the trappings of a modern health clinic.

Robinson is a familiar face in the community, having served as the only general practitioner in the area for almost 15 years. He moved to Remington in 1980, and had his office there until the practice moved to its present location last year. In addition to his family practice, Robinson also has a specialty in general surgery.

Though Robinson could be described as Dr. King’s mentor, they share the practice as equals and, in Robinson’s words, “we complement each other.”
