Mabel Helen Peyton Williams, 63, of Winchester, died Wednesday, Oct. 6 at the Winchester Medical Center.
The funeral was conducted Monday, Oct. 11 at the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob in Winchester bv Bishop C.R. Davis.
Burial was in Community Cemetery in White Post.
Mrs. Williams was born April 13, 1930, in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late George and Sarah Elizabeth Davenport Peyton.
She retired after 25 years as a cook for Hillcrest Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Jacob and Daughters of God.
Surviving are her husband, Lester Williams of Berryville; three sons, Wayne E. Williams of Winchester, Robert J. Williams of Brentwood, TX and Gregory L. Wil liams of Stephens City; three daughters, Wendy S. Wise of Winchester, Robin R. Christian of Front Royal and Jeanette C. Williams of Petersburg; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are three brothers, Lee Roberts of California, Herman Peyton of Texas and Walter Roberts and three sisters, Lorraine Wedlock of White Post, Ruth Washington of Winchester and Lucy Christian of Stephens City.
Pallbearers were friends of the family.
A Christian wake was held Sunday, Oct. 10 at the Stephens City Funeral Home.
