The cross country team was to host a meet with George Mason and Page County this Wednesday and then travel to Clarke County Friday for a final meet with Clarke County and Page County before the district meet next Wednesday at Strasburg.
Meanwhile the girls’ basketball teams were having another bad week. The JV team lost to Brentsville Tuesday 34 to 8 and then lost to Central Thursday 42 to 6. Sharnita Fletcher continues to pace the J V team in scoring.
Meanwhile the varsity lost to Brentsville 51 to 42. Coach Gary Leake noted that this was the most points this varsity team has ever scored and that nine members of the team scored, making the most balanced offense the team has ever offered.
