The County of Rappahannock I* seeking quaibids

from persons or mms interested in performing renovations/alterations to an existing building, currently housingthe CommisNoner of the Revenue. The work consists of the following:

T) Rear Rooms/New Registrar's Office

a. ) Repair, bolster weak floor support against eastern wall of structure;

b. ) Construct floor to ceiling shelving, with binged doors, along north wall between existing door and east wall;

c.)lnstall electric baseboard heat along east wall (approx, two three foot units). Install one additional baseboard heat unit on east wall in small office in rear. 2. ) Middle/ Map room

a. ) Install conduit between north wall through to computer room beyond (conduit to be sufficient to bouse electrical cabling as well as coaxial, etc.);

b. )lnstall four (4) additional electrical outlets, two on north wall, two on east wall;

c. ) Install electric ceiling fan (small diameter)

d. ) Install strip insulation or other means to seal door between middle room and rear office;

a ) Close off/Seal overhead wall to Rear rooms/New Registrar’s Office to soundproof. 3. ) Front Office/Kitchen

a. ) Remove sink from corner on east wall and shift ninety degrees to be mounted against south wall comer;

b. ) Remove cabinets from south wall from under window all the way to west wall;

c. ) Install three runs of shelving (5-6' long) on east wall;

d. ) Remove cabinet from west wall comer with north wall and shift ninety degrees to stand against north wall (may require construction of new cabinet);

e. Install room divider from left of doorway entrance approx, six feet into room (divider to be stud/drywall construction but not to be constructed completely to ceiling-approx. eight (8) feet high;

f. ) Install four additional electrical outlets for use in office.

The work to be performed shall be conducted in a working public office; bidders should be aware that the needs of the public for access to the structure may not be compromised. A tidy work area and daily dean up will be necessary. Bidders shall set forth the bid price, name of the firm any exdusions or substitutions, and must be signed by a principal of the firm in order to be considered.

Bids should be submitted so as to be received at the County Administration Office, Old Extension Office, Gay Street (PO Box 519), Washington, VA 22747, no later than 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27, 1993. The procedures for competitive sealed bidding as set forth in the Virginia Public Procurement Act (Section 11-37) shall apply. 1324685
