The library finished the year technically in the red but with plenty of funds to cover the shortfall.
At last Thursday’s Library - Board meeting Librarian Nicki Lynch reported that the Board of Supervisors had approved $27,900 in additional appropriations that had come in from grant funds. Even so, Treasurer Helen Platt said if she paid all the June bills, payments would exceed appropraitions by $221. However she said there was $2,000 in income plus some interest that had not been appropriated. The Library Board agreed to use $500 of those funds to pay the bills.
