What I mean by those titles is that the time when someone could buy land in the county to start farming has long gone past. The land costs too much because of the growth pressure of the metro area. Someone cannot buy land to use for a traditional farm and have it earn enough to pay the mortgage.
Eventually, the real estate taxes will drive most, if not all, the farmers off their land, just as they did in Fairfax County years ago and as they are doing now in counties adjacent to Fairfax County.
