/ July 4th Book Sale

The Friends of the Rappahannock County Library will hold the annual 4th of July Book Sale at the Rappahannock County Library. The book sale will be all day from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday, July 4. Thousands of books will be for sale to raise money for the Rappahannock County Library. The books sale will include old books, new books, collector’s items and first editions along with children’s books. Call 675-3780 for more information.

Grandma's Attic Sale

A Grandma’s Attic Sale will be held on the Fourth of July in conjunction with the customary society activities that day. Books and collectibles will be for sale. There will be a drawing for “My Rappahannock Story Book,” a sot after, out of print book. Tickets are $5 each. The drawing will be held on July 4.

Tennis Clinics Scheduled

The Rappahannock County Park is sponsoring adult and junior tennis lessons starting with a six-week session. The junior clinics will be held Mondays and Fridays, July 11,15,18,29, Aug. 1 and 5. Clinics for beginners, intermediates and advanced will be from 8-11 a.m. The cost will be $6 per lesson with four juniors required to be in each group.

The adult clinics will be held on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings for beginners, intermediates and advanced players. Saturday clinics will be held July 9 and 30 and Aug. 20 and 27 and begin at 5:30. The cost will be $8 per hour with four players per group.

CSC To Observe Holiday

CSC Transit will not operate on Monday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. CSC Transit is a program of the RappahannockRapidan Community Services Board.

CSC Transit serves the general public as well as clients of the Rappahannock- Rapidan Community Services Board in the five counties in Planning District 9.

Art Classes Planned
