Miss Jenkins worked at the Rappahannock County Extension Office as a secretary for 41 years, retiring in 1980. This gave her more time to spend on the museum, and do what she truly loves to do: educating people about the history of Rappahannock County.
Anyone wishing to visit the museum may do so for free, however, donations are appreciated. If nobody is at the museum, Miss Jenkins or her sister, Mary Jenkins, are usually at home in the house directly across the street from the museum, and would be happy to give a tour to anyone interested.
